In Chios City you can find an old traditional house from the 19th century. It is owned by a couple of Anastasios and Marouko Patera. The Archaeological Museum

The Archaeological Museum of Chios opened its doors in 1999. It is located in a building with 3 floors and uses a total area of 2,500 square meters which includes exhibition rooms, workshops and offices. The exhibition space houses finds from the Neolithic era to the Classical and Roman period. In the first floor are exhibits of the prehistoric Chios, vases and sculptures originating from the 8th century BC are presented as well as tombstones and inscriptions.
