The cool thing about an Island is, that you can explore literally everything in a normal amount of
time! And of course especially in summer buses will carry you everywhere you want (and here a
little tip for fans of vintage Volkswagen buses: Take the bus to Mesta, believe me this is the by far
coolest public bus you will ever ride with in your life!).

To make sure you really see everything you desire to, it is highly recommended to rent a car. This is
easy and not even expensive, and if you want your trip to be planned from A to Z you can even
reserve the car of your wishes upfront in the internet already. If you prefer more spontaneous
decisions you will have lot’s of possibilities to get a car right here on the island (for example right
on the airport after you land sooo), don’t worry!

Just be a bit carefull with the Greek way of driving, unfortunately they love to stop right after a turn
or take over cars in impossible situations. But if you drive normally nothing is going to happen!
To arrive at the right destinations, just ask for a map in the tourist office in Chios City (which is
between the central square and the port). Also Greeks are one of the nicest and most helpfull people
ever, so in case you get lost just ask someone and they will do everything they can to help you.
Seriously, even if they don’t speak a word english, they will show you with google maps th right
way or call someone who knows, I’m not kidding here! The Greeks may be many things, but their
hospitability is no myth.

So get yourself into you rented car and explore every inch of Chios Island just because you can and
of course because it is really worth it!
