The Municipal Summer Cinema “Cine Kipos” was established in 1995 by the municipality of Chios and its Development Agency and is situated in the Municipal Garden (Kipos) of Chios city. The establishment of the cinema is part of the effort made by Local Authorities aiming to preserve the typical Greek habit of open summer cinemas. Check the opening times before, because it is unfortunately only open in the summer.

In the selection of the film program, Cinema Kipos gives emphasis on the promotion of European films of quality. Since 1996 Cine Kipos is a member of the Panellenic Network of Municipal Cinemas in cooperation with the Greek Ministry of Culture.

 

Take your loved one and enjoy the movie! And one more thing: If you don’t speak fluently Greek, don”t worry, because all movies are only subtitled in Greek but the voices are in original, so most of the times it is English. So what are you waiting for?
