Fresh air is playing with your hair. Under you are thousands of lights like a carpet of different coloured diamonds. At the horizon there are even more lights glowing in the dark, parted from the ones underneath you by the black sea which makes the tiny lights of the fishing boats jump up and down. The flickering lights at the horizon seem to be continued by the stars without any noticeable boarder where the land ends and the stars start.

You think I just quoted some kind of traveling novel? Nope, I am speaking about nothing less than the breathtaking view from Epos mountain above the east coast of Chios Island. Far you will see the lights of Turkey and Ionnouses and if you turn right, towards the south you can see until Karfas!

Sound amazing, huh? Believe me, it is perfect. Just continue the road from Vrontados up to the village Volissos and stop somewhere in the middle, you will notice where the best spots are. And if you go there in summer, it is totally worth it to wait until around ten, when the moon is raising.
